![]() ![]() Do you mean that the new image should be a raster image below with a vector image on top, and then both or either could be deleted in raster layers, there's no problem because you can just create the new layer in mypaint then edit it in the external app. (I'll try to remember to create a new issue for it.) Not sure if that should be a bug of its own or if it's a feature. That's not to make light of the usability conundrums that can arise if people don't realize that this copy can and often should be deleted, though.īTW, it seems that mypaint doesn't show raster images linked/embedded in the svg at the moment, though I haven't tested that out fully yet. ![]() Inkscape has lots of tools (bucket fill, vectorize, extensions, the "trace lightness of background" feature of the calligraphy tool, etc) that can make use of the raster image before its deleted. Tried some changes to the image out (only in my imagination, haven't implemented anything) like tinting it blue, making it really light, making it lower rez or having visible jpeg artifacts, blitting some sort of label on it etc, but in the end I realized that there are plenty of use cases for having a sort of nice image there anyway. ![]()
